About
Me
I'm Gary.
I live an active lifestyle balancing work and exercise! Other times when I am free, I sing and play the guitar. With the special bond I have with my guide dog, I am able to go about my day more seamlessly!
A Little About My Condition
-
Glaucoma
An inherited condition caused by the damage of built up pressure inside my eye’s optic nerve since I was 22 years old. I lost the ability to read and drive at 50.
Right Now,
I am completely blind and have been since I turned 56.
#1 Fun Fact
I often play worship music with my guitar for my church every Sunday!
Three Talents of Mine?

Focused
Through my condition, I remain very positive and use it to my advantage instead. I have been able to stay much more focused as I am not easily distracted by things around me anymore! I am therefore able to learn quickly and get tasks done efficiently, such as improving my guitar skills much more.
Self-directed
I have gained an advantage in gathering my thoughts differently. I can quickly absorb knowledge from documentaries and shift my focus to adapting instead of seeing things as a problem!
Flexible
I move as the flow of life comes! I am musically-inclined as I play the guitar and enjoy singing for others. On the other hand, I live an active and social lifestyle! I try to do as much as I can as life proceeds.
What Do I Do In My Free Time?

Keep Active
I live an active lifestyle where I jog, bowl, swim and keep fit!
Socialise
I enjoy going out to meet my friends for coffee and a chat.
#2 Advice
Stay humble and selfless as it accompanies everything else!
